TOÇEV COMPLETED THE FIRST HARVEST OF PAYAM ECOLOGICAL ALMOND VILLAGE FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE AND CHILDREN'S RIGHT TO EDUCATION
Tüvana Okuma İstekli Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı (TOÇEV) celebrated the first harvest of the PAYAM Ecological Almond Village Project—launched in 2021 to continuously support children's right to education and to offer a sustainable social enterprise model for NGOs—together with its stakeholders.

ISTANBUL – Since 1994, TOÇEV has defended children's right to education and has reached an important milestone in the PAYAM Ecological Almond Village Project, which brings an innovative approach to NGOs' resource development processes. The saplings planted in 2021 have yielded their first produce, having transformed into a model where sustainable agriculture, nature and social impact converge.

PAYAM stands out as an end-to-end sustainable social enterprise model that goes beyond being just an almond orchard; the almonds grown turn into products, the products into resources, and the resources into support for children's right to education.
"PAYAM, A Value We Grow Together"
TOÇEV officials, noting that the project is not limited to income from almond sales but is carried out with a deep focus on social impact, described the project's current phase as follows:

"As TOÇEV, we have continuously defended children's right to education since 1994. Creating sustainable resources to support this right is our greatest responsibility. PAYAM was born in 2021 as the idea of an independent and sustainable resource to contribute to children's education. As we carry out our first harvest today, we are celebrating not only the produce of a garden but the realization of an idea and a shared value we have grown together with our stakeholders."

Data-Driven and Measurable Social Impact Is Aimed For
In the next phase of the PAYAM project, an impact-focused management approach will be strengthened. To make the value offered by the model more measurable, visible and shareable, emphasis will be placed on technical analysis, data collection, measurement, comparison and improvement efforts.

Additionally, the project's communication and strategic partnerships dimension has entered a new phase. In line with the completed "PAYAM Visibility and Strategic Participation Analysis" and the developed "PAYAM Communication and Strategic Relations Plan", new stakeholder discussions have begun on national and international platforms.
